Default I've done a little site change....

inspired by Arabellas radical redesign I added the boxes with designs on today - www.lactivist.co.uk
what do you think? Good, bad or ugly? I will get better pictures sorted out soon but I just want to test if it makes things easier to find or not.

Well I like it, but given the boxiness of my site I would say that! LOL

hello I didn't see the site before but i'd certainly have no difficulty navigating around your site as it stands, the categories are really clear. I like the way you have a mixture of hardcore militant bfeeding slogans, and more mainstream subtle slogans. You would of course increase the market for your products if you added even more subtle slogans to your range - i personally wouldn't buy the t-shirts with the more full-on messages as I while i want to promote bfeeding, i wouldn't want to upset my friends who had tried but been unable to bfeed and feel incredible guilt about it. But then perhaps I'm not really your target customer! Best of luck

PS. maybe you already have a similar one but a t-shirt saying 'I'm a stakeholder in the Mothers Milk Marketing Board' would be cute!

I'm re-designing my site too so i feel your pain!! I didn't see it before either, but I like the boxes, makes it easy to navigate.

thanks everyone, I have changed the top banner now, if anyone could tell me if it makes sense and is clear and enticing that would be great!
llanarth - I can see what you mean, and I have tried a variety of designs but strangely the harder ones sell better - I have a lovely gentle bag design now, just a beautiful drawing of breastfeeding mums but it does not sell as well as the 'Mummy Milk is Better than Milk from just any old cow' bag.

Actually I suppose that makes sense - if you are in the market for a pro-breastfeeding t-shrt, you'll prob want to go the whole hog and get one that really makes a statement.
