slow cooker questions
the really cheap one from argos, is it worth getting or will it break in a week or explode the house?
can you bake potatos in slow cookers?
Is it cheaper to use a slow cooker than have the oven on low for ages?
If it is generally just me and my BF will the 3.5 litre one be ok?
I am thinking of getting one as I am eating a lot of stews at the moment.
The cheapest is just under a tenner, then there are Brevilles for £15 which are half price and a huge Rachel Allen 6.5L for £14 which is half price too.
What do you think?

I have reserved the Breville to pick up from the hell that is Argos tomorrow, I am guessing it is pretty heavy, could I walk it home? About 15 mins away?

I love it! I got it this morning, Argos was totally empty so no stress there for a change, it is not too heavy, I put random veg and a stock cube in it at 11 and went out until 6.30, came home to a house smelling fantastic and a great soup which I added a chunk of salmon and some spinach to.
It is like having a house husband :-) Hi honey I'm home!
