This is how I update my homepage.
I make amendments to the page via xcart webmaster mode. I then update via their html catalog function.
Then I go into Dreamweaver and overwrite some of the coding as it 'looks better' done in Dreamweaver.
A few days ago I went through the same procedure. When I opened DW the newly altered (via xcart) index.html was not showing in the remote site. It had updated as I could see the changes on the live website but it was not listed on the remote site.
When I transfer the 'old' index.html file from local files to remote site, it still did not show in the remote side although, again, I know it had gone across as the changes could be seen on the live website.
So after that long winded babbling.....why can I not see the index file in remote and how can I get it back please?

Hi all,

I've been tempted with getting one, but don't really want to fork out the $50 ish a month for one.

I also thought though, that there is no way that i would personally put the server through its capabilities, and then wondered if a bunch of us got together - to potenitally share one.

A shared virtual server between 5 or 10 of us would probably be about the same price as your current web host - however you will only be sharing it with 5 or 10 people - not a couple of hundred (as is probably the case)

anyone got any thoughts?

Is there any software that will do this for me quickly, ie scrape all the images at once?

Hi Everyone,

We got back from holiday last night about 10:30pm.

The first part of the holiday was very lovely - very hot - but extremely relaxing and was just fantastic. My SIL's wedding was great and Eithne was a good little flower girl - she even walked down the aisle with the bridesmaid she met 10 minutes before the ceremony. Once I get some photos uploaded I will let you know.

On Monday Eithne got some spots on her back - I thought they were chicken pox but she wasn't itching or anything so we weren't sure. We left Portugal on Tuesday morning and she still only had about 7 spots. By the time we got to Spain she had more spots and by Wednesday morning we were certain they were chicken pox. We had mad phonecalls to both the travel insurance company and the ferry company to find out what we needed to do etc, so we spent some time in a Spanish hospital and Eithne got a thorough exam and a certificate stating she did indeed have chicken pox. We rang back the ferry company and they said it wasn't a problem for us to travel (we had said we would confine her to the cabin) as long as we were respectful of other guests etc. I asked if we had to make ourselves known and was told nope. We thought she'd just have a mild case, but by Thursday morning (after being coped up in the hotel for 2 days) she had even more spots. Got to the port and we were told we had to see the ships doctor (they had the record of us calling and stuff) so I had to swear to them we wouldn't let her out of the cabin - Michael and I were allowed out to get food - but that was it. They agreed to let us travel.

It was a very long ferry journey - or at least it felt like it. We left Spain about 2pm on Thursday afternoon and got back to Portsmouth around 6pm. I don't do too well on boats so not being able to go and get some fresh air meant I was taking travel sickness meds pretty much the whole time.

By Friday morning Eithne's spots had literally exploded all over her body - she was covered from head to toe. :-(

She was doing really well though and being such a good little girl for being stuck inside a very small cabin.

She's very itchy but think she's finally on the mend as pretty much all of the spots have now started to scab over.

Got home to loads of mail and stuff that I need to get sorted out. Had a few sales on Delicate Dreams while we were away so they got posted off this morning, as well as another enquiry from a bride, so am very pleased about that.

I guess Eithne will be at home with me for the first part of the week - until all of her spots have scabbed over - so it's going to be extremely interesting trying to get all of the stuff done that I need to.

I will try to catch up with everyone as best I can.

I think I need another holiday! :hysterica
