Today I have received an email from Nominet and I wonder if it's the real deal as I have never had any emails from them before. It says..

Dear Me,

Domain name: genuine one that I registered

Thank you for using Registrants Online. The changes you have requested to the details we hold for the domain name above have now been made.

You can now download your presentation certificate if you have not already done so, by re-entering the Registrants Online system at http://www.nominet.org.uk/go/regonline .
You will need to click "Start Registrants Online" and then login using your domain name and security code. In the new window that opens select "Presentation Certificate" from the menu shown on the left hand side of the screen.

If you requested to have a certificate sent to you by email, this will arrive in a separate message.

If you would like to comment on any aspect of the system please e-mail
ro-feedback@nominet.org.uk with the subject line "Registrants Online"

Is this a new way of doing it? I'm very untrustworthy of late. Just wondered if anyone knew.

Eye its the real deal - I used to get mine through the post the url checks out to be same one ive got but Mine had a Key stamped on the letter so when I entered the key it would let you in. wonder if they have started sending out emails instead of sending letters cheapskates.

When your logged in it lets you download a PDF file with a certificate for your domain.

Seems real to me - I have had a similar email a while ago when we had to inform them that the Arty Bugs had become Arty Bugs Ltd. If you want me to I can dig out the email and we can verify the sender address.

Hello,

Pretty sure that is how Michael gets the certificates now too. I think they're trying to cut down on paper. LOL

I got one last week and downloaded a crappy certificate - didn't doubt anything for one minute but then i am completely dense and will trust anything and anyone -

What might there be to be sceptical about? See told you i was dense.
