Stock storage

We had great fun in Ikea last night. We went to buy some shelving and boxes for the stock as we're getting fed up with rumaging around in huge cardboard boxes and thought that seeing as our biggest order hasn't yet arrived, now would be a good time to get organised!

First of all the woman in the kids section looked at us like we were mad as we compared all the different boxes, then she thought we'd lost the plot as we counted out 12 of those Gles boxes.

We went down into the warehouse bit (having had some fun on the travelators!) and went to pick up the shelving units. We were totally :smiley-fa when we saw none were left but DP saved the day and asked a member of staff who sent a driver to get a pallet. He asked how many we wanted and nearly fell over when we said 3 (not sure why?!)

We were a bit miffed that Ikea don't seem to do any large square boxes though - they were all rectangular so had to pop into the huge WalMart next door to find some biiiiiig boxes for the bigger stuff.

Was a nightmare trying to fit it all in the car to get home! DP will have fun putting it all up when she gets in from work this afternoon :happy72:

Can't wait until we eventually move into premises and its not taking over the spare room - luckily we have enough bedrooms for a separate stock room.

I am really, really lucky. We have a loft conversion which is quite a large room with two velux windows, we live in a bungalow. It was a 'don't know what to do with that, so I'll put it upstairs' kind of room before. But we had a really good clear out, it already had shelving, I bought some clothes rails and so it is like a mini shop now ! I also have my friends come to the house to buy clothes for the children and I can shut the door on it and forget about seeing stuff around the house all the time.

Luckily there are 2 of us that run Arty Bugs so we can divide our stock but it has still taken over both our garages and now my spare room. I'm hoping to clear some out though as one of the halls we use has promised us some storage so it will make it so much easier to set up for the groups (plus I'm getting a new kitchen in a couple of weeks and they want to initially put it in the garage - if there isn't room they will put it in my lounge until its all fitted!!)

Mine's all in or on top of our new wardrobe (was bought partly with stock storage in mind.)

MInes in the hall, the spare bedroom, fairy dresses in the girls bedroom, t shirts under the bed, more fairy dresses in my wardrobe, dolls clothes at the neighbours......but enough is enough,.,insulated outdoor storage coming soooooonnnnn.....hurrraaaayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine is all in cardboard boxes in our bedroom. I really need to organise it this week as I am sick of rummaging through them too.

The Autoballs are all in boxes in dp's office so every time he gets a spare minute he can bag them up (we do that ourselves as the moulders want way too much for them to do it).
