How many hours do you think you work a day?
I think I would work less if I worked full time in an office all day!

ages ago i watch a programme that worked out what mums would earn if got paid the for the work they did, it was really clever, childcare, housework, finance, cooking, advice, shopping etc and it worked out something like £50,00 cos it was 7 days a week averaging about 10-12 hrs a day!

When I am working on dh business it varies depending on customers some days you can be all day answering questions and other days there will be none. As with data transfer it can be a quick 10 min job to 5 hours.
My business has taken a back seat due to dh business taking off so I do nothing on it at the moment, it is just sitting there looking pretty.

All bloody day it seems!
But actually it is completely dependent on how busy we are, obviously. However there is always something that needs to be done. My business partner has just had a baby, so I am taking the reigns at the moment which is fine.
It's hard to work around the kids, it may get a bit better when my eldest starts school in Sep and the youngest is at preschool more often.

Between housework, kids and business I get up at 7am and finish at 8pm on an early day and 11pm on a late one. During that time the only "me" time I get is on the loo if I'm lucky (I'm not kidding lol). Weekends I start around 9am and finish around 9pm on both Sat and Sun which is mostly work except if we're doing family stuff. It's relentless but DH is taking his first weeks holiday this year and I've promised to work hard for 4 days and to totally rest for at least 3 (excpet to get orders out).

Well ds is home educated so we both get up around 9am (he sometimes sleeps until 10am) and I work in my employed job (from home) all day, whilst assisting ds and packing orders from the eBay shop, ordering and sorting stock etc and generally getting ready for the business to open.
I'm very lucky to work from home in my employed job as it means that I can fit the business around it all. Generally though I am working on either my work on the business until 1/2am every night in the week. At weekends I just pack and send out orders or catch up with my employed work if I have to but try not to do that as it's my only real chance of some time off.
So I figure I'm working at least 15 hours a day.

Hello,
I know I would definitely work less if i had an office because atm the business seems to take over my entire life. I get up around 9amish every day and work until close to midnight - unless like today I become totally selfish and take a day off. DH works at his full time job and then comes home and works for our company at night.
I am trying to set out some strict working hours but it's difficult.

I work more hours than I did when I was employed
Starts off with the school run, normally followed by a trip to the Bank, Post Office and any food shopping we need
Get home and call the carrier for a collection
Then it's sifting through the post, catching up on invoices, stock checking etc
Then I do all my candlemaking in the evenings and most weekends
My kids come 1st in the day
