my dp has said that its ok to buy off of private sellers as he always buys off of private ones or one with a high feedback.

Some Do Private When Selling Sex Aids

I probably wouldn't go private if it was me selling sex aids as I'd like my buyers to see my feedback, but I would mark my buyers as private if selling these things, to keep thier anonimosity (Is that right?).

I personally wouldn't be a private seller at all and would be cautious of them. But that's just IMHO.

Exactly! I get irritated sometimes when people comment on what I've been buying.
It doesn't matter if they or private or not, what matters is their feedback rating. They are still covered by all the rules and regulations that non private ebay members are bound by.
