I thought i'd share this with you (you may already do it)

Previously, i have about 20 people following my facebook page, after having it for about a year

I recently added one of the facebook widgets to my "thanks for shopping with us" page that customers get retrun to, after they have made a purchase.

In a month, i've gained an additional 55 "likes" - and these are like from my customers, who are likely to return, or recommend my products, not just likes from friends and family who, IMHO, do nothing more than make up the numbers

Now, i know this isn't a huge deal, and 55 likes is hardly the next big thing, but for the first time, i'm actually starting to see the benefit of what facebook can offer me as a business - especially as my business doesn't have a natural ongoing discussion like many of yours do.

You can check it out here :

PS. you need to be logged into facebook within your browser to get the full potential, otherwise it's just a link

Ooh what a good idea, will have to look into that. I'm still only at 20 or so likes :-(

That's a great idea. Was it easy to set up?

yep, really easy, i think the "widget" is called face pile - just go to the facebook developers page, choose your settings, get the code, then just have to work out where you need to paste it in your website

Hi Stickerstocker, I've heard of this, but I'm not sure how it works- is it a sort of a 'collective' on facebook?
