Hello all

I wonder if anyone can help me? I am trying to help my mother in law, promote her art designs, she graduated a couple of years ago with a degree in fine art. She now is desperately trying to get her work "out there" She is extremely talented in many art fields but is concentrating on imagery atm, she would dearly ove to design for home wares, shoes, skins for laptops/mobiles, cards, wrapping paper, that kind of area. She is in her 60's so has enlisted me to try and help her promote her work, so to speak. I had plans on maybe just sending out some samples, but not sure what type of company to approach and who to approach within the organisations, have any of you any ideas or can help in any way, I would be really grateful.

Thanks in advance:happy72:

Sounds exciting! I don't know a huge amount about this sort of thing myself, but my SIL is a designer - she does designs for tee shirts, homewares, fabric etc..she does a lot of freelance work via an agency, so maybe try getting commissions through design agencies to begin with...?

Emma, could she send samples to firms she thinks her designs would fit with their product range/ethos?

No, sorry I don't. Not much use I'm afraid am I? I've just Googled freelance design work and there are loads of results, so may be try that?
