I know many of us don't see celebs day to day but who have you seen in real life ie not bought tickets to see, etc, if you are from the backwaters like me?

I saw Chesney Hawkes at a tube station once and Liza Tarbuck in a greengrocers when I was helping my mate buy a Christmas tree in there. I was on telly with Phillip Schofield when I was 11 when he did Take Two and that's about it!

Not many here, but
When i was 16 and working in a garage locally i serviced Peter Bowles (old actor bloke was in To the Manor Born and other old telly stuff). I literally bumped into Nicholas Lyndhurst coming out of a bank in Chicester ( he is the tallest person i have ever seen). I was an extra in Casualty once and spoke to three or four of the cast (Josh,Chloe and some others )

I saw Danny De Vito when I was in NY and saw Gazza in Livingston when I was visiting my uncle. I met Stephen Gately once and he was lovely. Ummm, have met some local celebs and once called Mary Peters (she won a gold medal in the olympics for running or something like that in the 70's) a cheeky b*tch - well, she came up to me when I was in a wheelchair and said 'That's a fair job you've done on yourself' (had both legs in plaster at the time)

Met Chris Evans years ago when he was in Inverness, he looked down my top. Wasn't too impressed although granted the view was better then before i had kids!!!
Met Andrew&Fergie a milion years ago when they were first married and i was a tiny kid. Very embarrasing now.
Having gone to Glastonbury twice, years ago now though have seen a few people kicking about the site. John Peel in the mud with his wellies on. Michael Stipe of REM shopping. Courtney Love eating chips. Oh and Finlay Quaye, remember him (he had a few songs in the 90s and was with Paula Yates before she died), he knocked me over and kept walking!!!
Also we had a film premiere in Inverness years ago, only big event they have had in the last 20 years other than Madonna and co passing through for her wedding, and saw Ted Danson (the Cheers guy), Baddiel&Skinner and Bob Geldof. Not very interesting. There were better people there but i didn't get too see them!!!! (I do love David Baddiels books though, especially Whatever love means)
Where i live we have had a few big names pass through on the way to Billy Connolly's Aberdeenshire home, namely the Big Yin himself and Steve Martin and Robin Williams. Always when i am not out and about though. I love Billy Connolly, if i had to name a celeb i would love to meet it would be him!!!!
