you get a license and software ect i think

what it is is you basically design a magazine for your community with adverts for local buisnesses (you got to get the buisnesses to agree and pay to have the advert put in the mag) and reveiws on things and a directory for local buisnesses ect then they print it and distribute them for you they are registered with BSI and they say that you could earn as much as £2000 a month but as i said to me it sounds a bit too good to be true and

I have never heard of this one before, but this is a similar thing that I have come across before. http://www.my-mag-uk.com/

Dont wish to put a downer on this, but I would be wary of anything that wanted such a big investment.

I would ask the following questions:

Have they got paperwork to back there claim up.
What happens if someone is already registered in your area to do this, do they still sell you the stuff and have two people in the same area.
Who pays for print and distrubtion costs each month as these cannot be cheap and Im sure £5000 would not cover print and distrubtion for a year.
Is the payment a one of or a yearly thing.

Sorry not to be so positive about it, if you have the money to invest there are a lot of franchise companies that you could look into.

Also most local papers now have this kind of thing set up on the internet and a freebie paper for advertising.

Eeeeeeeeek! On first glance I would say that £5000 is a heck of a lot of dosh to part with! And it sounds like an enormous amount of hard work too.....so I would steer well clear.

I regularly see Mumbles in my area, keep meaning to advertise in it. I can see that if you worked on it you could get decent money because it's a nicely laid out magazine that *lots* of mums see.

I have never heard of this company or ever seen the magazine in our area, I would be very weary of parting with £5000 it's an awful lot of money

I have advertised in my local one, i dont think much of it at all and wouldnt bother advertising again as i got no response, its not just me as i spoke to several other people who advertised in the magazine and they said the same, 1 was a nail technicain and the other was a photographer oh and i think there was a builder to. they all said they got no business from it at all and was a waste of money.

so from that point of view, if no ones going to re advertise you could soon run out of people that would be willing to pay you.

there's a 'thebestof' website for our area, but I hadn't heard of an in-the-flesh magazine. It will be one of those things, worthwhile if you put the legwork in, and not multi-level marketing. Does Mumbles have a forum or anything that you could use to get in touch with other franchisees and see how much work they put in?
