I thought that a product needed a barcode to be listed on an Amazon shop, but despite not having barcodes for Chiggs Wheels, I've come across them listed by one of my stockists on their shop. This is good :D but I wondered if the rules regarding barcodes on Amazon had changed recently? Does anyone on here run an Amazon shop?

Yes, you need UPC or EAN barcode.

I'm guessing they have registered for their own set of barcodes and are using those.
I have a set but I use them to catalogue our stock so we can track items easily.

if you need barcodes, i can let you have a couple. otherwise, it's quite an expensive operation.

Could you really? That would be absolutely fantastic, I've been looking at the whole barcode thing for a while, but as you say it is really expensive, and out of business credit-crunchy necessity I'm needing to keep expenditure to a minimum this year!

if you email ke v i n @b oxho use publ ishin g.com
and tell him how many you need and what they're for. he'll give you some numbers rather than bar codes. you need then to get some software (you can get it free) to add the number to and it'll generate the actual barcode.
it'll take him a few days as we're out tomorrow.
cheers
