networking while pregnant

I was planning on going to a networking event next month, but i'm 4 months pregnant and huge already. I know it shouldn't, but do you think my being pregnant would put people off considering me as a valid option? I know that Im just as capable (I'm a copywriter, not a bungee jumper!), but I'm worried that others might not agree? Oh, I'm probably just being paranoid and hormonal!

I know what you mean, I felt a bit like that when pg, some people did treat me a little different, but on the whole people where just fine. I dont think its that they think you suddenly cant do the job, just there concerned about you.

Show that bump off and go get them!

It shouldn't put people off, but you are right to believe that each of us has prejudices and make assumptions that we are not even aware of.

What's the alternative though? Not go and miss out on the possible oppotunities that will come from the majority of people (those who don't think the pregnancy is an issue)??
