Hi there,

I'm doing some research for Tommy's, the baby charity, about parents' experiences of swimming with their children.

Some of the types of stories I'm looking for are:

After the birth of my baby I found it very hard to bond with him/her, but a friend recommended we try swimming together and it has allowed us to develop a closer bond.
My partner and I struggle to find time to do much together as a family, but the one activity we always make time for is when we all swim together once a week.
My eldest child was very jealous of her younger brother when he arrived. Once I started taking them swimming together she stopped being jealous and became really protective towards him instead.
My baby fell in the garden pond and almost drowned because they couldn't yet swim.
My baby has a disability/mobility problem which have been made much easier since he/she started swimming.
My baby used to have a real problem sleeping/eating but this has really improved since I started taking him/her to the pool.

If any of these sorts of stories have happened to you, or you have a swimming story that you would like to share, please don't hesitate to contact me on 020 7398 3440, or email me on kmacleod@tommys.org

I would need to have a quick phone interview with you and there may be a chance of payment if your story is published.

Many Thanks
Kristy
