I've got 3 cats ive had them for 5 years but they seem to have got really smelly, the room they sleep in has a laminated floor, no soft furnishings and i keep the window on the catch so there is fresh air in there but they stink, i have airfreshners everywhere and clean there room / cat litter every day but the smell is horrible, i worry that people think my house smells, any ideas?:ac39:

I have one housecat and one that can go out but usually doesnt stay out.

Might they have peed on the laminate and its festering away down the cracks???

Ive noticed my two have started dribbling in their sleep while on the suite which not only leaves a white mark it smells too so I can totally sympathise with you being paranoid about the house smelling :(

we have a cat, but i was sick of hair everyewhere, and when it got fleas that was the last straw, so now we put a catflap in the shed outside with a warm basket, and the cat seems to love it, the kids still go in the shed to play with it, and everyone is happy.!!felt a bit cruel to start with but the cat seems happy enough (it never went to live somewhere else so thats promising!!)

yeh it sounds like the girl cat may have marked her teritory so i think a trip to the vet is in order, plus you wont get ride of that smell for a long time sorry. the only thin i could suggest is to get persil or daz the liquid stuff and scrubb the laminate.

also try a mix of washing up powder and warm water that helped us when our cat did it.
