Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd introduce myself as a new member, just having signed up a few days ago.
I'm already a stay at home mum but it's time I use my brain for something other than teaching my toddler how to count to 10!
I previously worked in both translating and advertising so I am combining my experience of these and setting up as a freelance copywriter/editor/proofreader.
I'm still at the very early stage of setting up my website and setting prices etc, but I had my first job this morning and it was so good to get my teeth into something not related to cbeebies! The client in question was a relative, but still she was very happy with my quick turnaround and the work I did, so I'm already feeling a bit more confident than I was a few weeks ago when I started everything.
I'll be picking your brains soon no doubt though, because I'm sure I'll have a thousand questions once I really start my marketing etc.
Clare

I just added a new post introducing myself as a new member but I can't see where it has gone.
I thought it seemed simple enough, surely I haven't done it wrong??

Did you do anything naughty like post a link to your website? You have to have reached a certain number of posts before you can do that :cheesy:.

Welcome, anyway! Nice to see a new face :happy72:

Nope, didn't do anything naughty - don't even have a website link to post yet!!
That's it come up now anyway, I think I'm probably just having a senior moment. And I'm only 28!!

Nope, I approved the post, it was needing moderation as the spam catcher thought you were being a naughty girl :cheesy:

Feel free to ask away as someone will likely know the answer, and if not, at least know where to find an answer. :D

Hi there, welcome to MZ.

I'm Nadine and have three websites (because I'm a gluton for punishment), ICE Gems sells stylish medical ID jewellery (http://www.icegems.co.uk) which is our main site, there is 5teel which is fashionable stainless steel jewellery (http://www.5teel.co.uk)(although we sell a lot of leather jewellery) and finally our predominantly business to business website is www.tyvekwristbands.co.uk which sells admission wristbands.

Like Tash I love your enthusiasm for your new business, I've been around and about for 8 years now selling product and two years before that selling services (HR Consultancy) which is very different to selling product as it is much harder to sell yourself I found.

Anyway good luck.

Lovely to 'meet' you all.
And no, I'll not have a word spoken against Iggle Piggle - he's earned me many a half hour with my feet up. Bad, bad mummy!
