What does everyone else do? I've got my mobile number on the site, as I still work 3 days a week and want to be sure I can sort out any queries asap(hoping to be a fulltime WAHM by the time no. 2 comes along in a year or so).

Do you think a mobile number looks dodgy. Should I get one of these call taking service things? Problem is I've only ever had 2 phone calls, so it's not worth paying lots, but does it make people suspicious if you only put a mobile on the site?

What does everyone else do?

A lot of people use a mobile.

Ive just bought a SKYPE phone (£30 including delivery although you can get cheaper) and I pay just over £6 every three months to have my own SKYPE number.

We have a mobile number - I try to carry the work mobile around with me all the time, an 0845 number, and a local number that is actually attached to our Skype phone - so we also have a Skype ID.

HTH!

Hi,

I have currently looked into this, we are with NTL, originally I was going to change over to BT so we could get that extra thing where you can have an extra number but it would ring differently so you can tell its a business call. We arranged to have it then NTL called and said, we have a letter to say you wish to go back to BT can you please tell me why, explained the reason and he then offered a FREE extra line with FREE rental for a YEAR and would then review it after that, and SO thats what we have done.

Alternatively we looked at having an 0845 number :-)

I started with my home phone number but got annoyed by the amount of prats who phoned to flog their services. I then changed to an 0845 number to look a bit more professional but had the same phonecalls. I now have a Skype number that I know are business calls only and not family related and I have a SKYPEIN number for that, a London number. Works well for me as it has voicemal and I don't have to hld the phone whilst talking (headset) so can use pc easily at same time. Calls out are very cheap and I have free voicemail.

I've just ordered call sign from BT to give me a second land line number with a different ring tone to which my 0845 number that customers will have goes to.

When I get round to a second line I will probably get an 0800 number too.

That Skypein number looks very intersting, Daffs, will have to look into it. I found the website and will research. Thanks!

I have a vonage business line and its excellent - the service quality has been brilliant too.

I also have an 0845 number that I purchased a few years ago - I used to have it going onto my home phone but the free calls with vonage are well worth it as I have to make quite a few calls to clients (far less time consuming than billions of emails).

I have just got as tesco internet phone £14.95 (on special offer) which also has £5 credit on it.
You get a free phone number with any available area code
You then get free calls to anyone else who has a tesco internet phone or very reasonable prced calls to any other phones also free voice mail.
I just wanted it for incoming business calls, so far works really well.
Only downside is you have to have computer on to use it but I usually have it on anyway.:happy72:
