Cold Calling

Hi all, just did some cold calling to some schools, felt really scared. Had 1 miserable woman who obviously doesn't like her job , one lady who will call back to make appt to see me and left messages for other people.


I've never done cold calling before, I've done sales calls but not to people I don't know. Feel like I should do more but need to get my confidence.


Fingers crossed for the website soon

I am somewhat phobic about speaking to anyone on the phone and come across as a complete idiot.

Cold calling is really scarey - but I always try to pretend I'm ultra confident in those situations, and I start to believe it myself sometimes.

Well done. If you are new to cold calling it can be really daunting at first.

Try and do your calls in the morning before you do any other business stuff. It gets it over with and you will feel much better for the rest of the day.

Set yourself little goals e.g each day I will call 2 new people. And make 1 follow up call.

Before you know it by the end of the month you will have contacted 60 new people.

Just take it slow. You will get there. So long as you do something each day.
