Have been outside all day clearing up the leaves and stuff from the winter, there seems to be sooo many more than last year !! (I probably say that every year !) So I was being nosey and asking do you like gardening, getting your hands dirty and planting stuff or is your garden more of a practical place to play and just sit out in the summer ?

our garden is just mud at the moment. we are waiting to get it re turfed which should be soon..(hopefully)..have not got a clue where to start with flowers/plants etc...but i have this idea that it WILL look like a pretty cottagy garden..with a rose bush or small tree of some sort a memorial....have tried to put in a pic of how it looks now ...but once again....i can't do it..:hissyfit: ..the file is too big!...
have been out strimming the front garden today but we were told last week that they were going to widen the road and we are going to lose half of that soon!!:angry-smi

So get a gate woman!
I don't really like gardening. I'll do it if I have to but I have to be in the mood. I love being out in the garden though.

:hissyfit: we dont have a garden, we have a yard. Think if we did have a garden it would be for sitting in and enjoying.

I hate gardening, but only because there are so many bugs, worms, flies etc.I will happily cut the hedges ( we have a lot), but will only mow the lawn if dh gets the lawnmower out of the shed first.

I love gardening but just don't have as much time, what with the children and a business, to be doing it ! I have tons of pots outside the house and in the garden in the summer and I mow the lawn and do everything, DH isn't allowed unless he asks me first ! Want to grow some veggies this year, beans, tomatoes, strawberries and lettuces. Not sure if I have left it a bit late ? Will go to Garden Centre tomorrow to have a mooch about !

I love gardening now i used to hate it but last year as dh was working long hours he couldn't do it i started and now i love it and all the neighbours said how nice it was. I can't wait to start planting and keeping it nice.
It is a place for play as well the kids enjoy it and we have lots of bgbq';s in the summer.

I'm not the best gardener, but I DO like it 2 look fairly nice...I just got the strimmer out this afternoon, cos its 2 long 4 the mower!
Not the best garden 4 the kids 2 play in anyway, cos 1) its tiered & 2) the neighbours cats sh!t all over it 2006argh ...& they've ruined the lawn dh laid last yr :angry-smi :angry-smi

I've only got a really small garden - patio with borders around it. Would like bigger one, but not practical. We grow runner beans, tumbler tomatoes, potatoes (in a bin!), lettuces, cucumbers and shallots. It's great. They taste so much nicer!

I really like gardening and would like to have a lawn, but only have a yard with one bed and decking with plenty of pots and planters on it.Not too keen on creepy crawlies(especially horrid slugs),have had a squirrel in garden a couple of weeks ago and we saw a fox near our gate last year.
We have just bought one of those mini greenhouses to grow seeds and stuff in,just hope we have some decent weather pretty soon.

I think I'd love it if only I knew what I was doing!! Not a bad sized garden and the previous owner obviously spent a lot of time on it, it's gone a bit to seed since hubby moved in, still we had loads of Snowdrops, now Primroses and tulips coming up must sit down and read the gardening books I've had for years!

I don't like gardening (hate insects, worms and frogs) but I like the garden to look neat and tidy. I have an obsession for pots, so have loads of them in the garden on top of gravel borders which keep the weeds down nicely.
