I thought that when I have my open evening on Friday 2nd that I'd give everyone who comes a little goody bag as a thank you for coming. They don't have to buy anything to get it, they just get one when they go or would it be better to give it when they get there or when.

So far I have as pictured a wine glass charm made with swarvoski crystals and one of my beads and a chocolate done up in red cellophane. They'll also be a business card in there too. It will be in a dark green velvet drawstring bag.

As a visitor receiving one (not as a business person giving them out) does this look a bit naff and you can't see the point of it, or a nice touch and nice to get a freebie or do you think it should have something else in it too

Really honest opinions please, I wont know who chose what so just go for it.

I like the wine charm, think that works well and links with your business.

But where do chocolates come into it? Forgive me, as i've only taken a brief look at your website, but if you're solely around jewellery, i'm not so sold on the chocolate. Whilst the visitors will probably like it, i don't see that it will do much to emphasise what it is that you're all about.

I'd be over the moon to get a wine charm. I bought my firne some years ago, every time we have a girlie noght at her's we have a good laughas we end up getting them mixed up. Pherhaps you should let your guest know they can buy more. All in all a great idea.

Kate i think its a lovely idea and i would be really chuffed to receive one as a guest, fwiw i dont think you need to have a chocolate connection to include a lovely wrapped chocolate in your goodie bag, people love a freebie.
Party planners i know take a bottle of wine and their trade isn't a vintner/wine merchant and its always gratefully received :cheesy:

Good luck with the open house, i wish i lived closer.

Really lovely idea! I'd be thrilled to get that little lot, and the chocolate is a nice touch too, we ladies love our chocolate and its a bit like handing our apperitifs at a nice party.

I would give them as they come in and that way they can eat he choc on the way round and feel good, also on a serious note see the quaility of your work with the freebie and maybe get some matching ones too!

Good luck with it, which I was near enough to come. :happy72:

Thanks everyone. I was wondering if it was enough in there. Its only a small 5x4" bag but the wine charm which is tied onto one of my moo cards looked a big lost and silly inside on its own so I added the choc too for a bit of perfectly gorgeous decadence. I wish you all lived nearer too, it would be fab to see you all.

Should I add anything else and if so what. I don't really want to add more beady stuff. I'm going to be putting wine charms on all the wine glasses too so people will know what they are when they find them in their bag.
