I'm a bit sad because I love all my old bedding (mainly ikea and habitat) but have just got a king size bed so need some new ... don't like anything in ikea at the moment, quite liked one in habitat but at about £100 including pillow cases I didn't like it that much. I've browsed the next catalogue and la redoute ... can anyone suggest anywhere to try?

Actually i was browsing argos, asda and wilkinsons for some. Probably not the best quality in the world but they do seem to have some nice ones at present.
Asda have a gorgeous one in velvet/purple fabric which im eyeing up for my bedroom to match the purple theme going on in there.
Have you had a look at Dunelm Mills?

Thankyou. I did look at dunelm, found the choice slightly overwhelming! They are all a bit too appliqued on flowers/leaves for my liking or very pale colours. I looked in asda but it only had about 6 boring ones, some have much better selections so I'll try another - am a fan of purple!

I got a few duvet sets from ASDA and they aren't bad quality at all. Much better than I had expected. Well worth a visit.

We normally get ours from Debenhams, especially good if you look out for the blue cross sale.

I'd go for Ikea because everywhere else a an affordable price sells polycotton, and I hate poly cotton bedding!

me too ... but they really do not have any nice ones. it used to be impossible to tear me away from that section and now they're all pants. I'm starting to quite like the dunelm one I bought, after using for 3 nights ... will have to hope for a warm day when washing!

I got a lovely cotton duvet cover from a shop that sells ethnic cushions and rag rugs, it is large abstract florals, just my kind of thing :-) and it was only 6 quid, 100% cotton, not too bad a weave.

wow that sounds like a bargain. It's hard on ebay to see the patterns/colours properly I think. you should have seen the palava when we were choosing curtains - took about a year!
