what do you think? I seem to lose more parcels in times of strikes, do you think it is better to wait until they are over (not that I know when that is) or just post and hope

It has already been going on so long I doubt it is going to be over quickly now. I have had a lot go missing and a lot taking a very long time to arrive, but it is still better from the customer's perspective that it is on the way and they may get their order promptly if they are lucky. Just make sure that you get a proof of posting for everything so that you can put plenty of claims in afterwards.

We are still sending a lot each day but at the moment only a handful are taking longer than usual. I agree with Wendy from a customers perspective it is better to think it is on its way rather than it may be held up indefinately because it hasn't been posted.

We are still sending - personally, I don't want the stuff hanging around here longer than necessary as we have soooo much stock in and more on the way.

W're doing 2 things
1) sending all post 1st class regardless (usually 2nd)
2) emailing the customer despatch email 1-2 working days later than actually sent with advice of possibility of delays due to strike

i'm still sending, but trying to convince my customers to fork out a little extra for recorded. It doesn't guarantee it any more than normal post, but gives them a bit of piece of mind.
