View Full Version : Wooden Floor's
We are getting these in the hall and front room soon hopefully. :D As we stupidly got a cream carpet in the front room(i know i know we have two kid's what were we thinking of !! ) Just wondering how easy they are to take care of like do you mop/brush them everyday, how hardwearing are they, and just general upkeep they require?? what about if the kid's spill drinks on them?
Any info would be greatfully recieved....thanks ladies

Hi kat. I have quite a few wooden floors in my house and they are great. I tend to hoover mine and then just go over them with a damp mop and they come up looking great, although I do have to say that they are dust attractors..lol! If a drink spills its easy just to mop or wipe it up, although you do need to make sure that water doesnt sit on it for a long time as otherwise this can cause it to warp.
Ive got a cream carpet in my front room as well but must admit I love it although probably not that practical with 3 kids!!

Thank's for the info Toni. :D Think we are leaving it till after xmas now...i do love my cream carpet but it's seen better days  Seems like im forever getting the Vax out to wash the thing.I was with the thinking that "oh we will take our shoes of in there and we'll be ok the kid's wont spill anything it'll be fine" yea dont know why i thought that kids were capable of not knocking drinks over!!!
