Women in Enterprise

I am attending the local Women In Enterprise event today as i have done for the past few years, i alwasy find them very inspiring and interesting, i normally come out buzzing gd12 really looking forward to it!

Do you attend any events like this ?

I haven't attended any events at all ever - okay I went to a couple with DH when he worked for his ex-employer - but I just sort of tagged along.

I really am uncomfy in unfamiliar situations especially when I'm on my own and I tend to have panic attacks so I avoid them. LOL

Maybe one day when Eithne's at school full time I'll go to some.

yeah, i've been to loads over the past few years - some just women-in-business events and some just regular networking events. I do enjoy them and like meeting new people and making new contacts. It's good to get known locally, although the last one I went to a lady grilled me on what services i offer and how much I charge and then said she could do her own website and not pay a penny. She was very rude and it put me off networking events for a while.

When Jonah is older I will start going to them again. i would be interested in starting up my own coffee/networking get togethers in my area specifically for work from home mums and I had put some feelers out on another website that was asking for ppl interested in doing this but haven't heard anything back.
