Mat allowance

I am slightly annoyed about my mat allowance being stopped. i told them I had gone back to work but only going back a few days a week instead of the full 5 days as before. They said I could still claim a % so filled in the forms and 3 wks later still nothing. I phoned on friday and they said that haven't got the claim form! I sent it over 2 wks ago. She said only thing to do is wait and then maybe ask for another claim form and send a duplicate.

Anyone else have any trouble with mat allowance? Can i indeed get a % or will they come back and say it's totally ended? I'm really hoping I can get the back payments for the weeks I've lost. Grrr.

I didn;t get a penny in MA - they lost my forms and I didnt chase up enough apparantly. DH had been in a bike accident 3 weeks after DS was born so I had rather a lot on my plate at the time so didn't chase up early enough.

'losing the forms' appears to be a common thing!

My recommendation would be keep chasing! Don't leave it for them to sort!

Hope you can get it sorted. They must have changed things though as I was told that if you did any work your MA stopped.
