Is anyone going to Home and Gift fair in Harrogate?

I have just found an invitation from a potential supplier I saw at the Christmas one (where I met Chiggs!) and have decided to go. It is 19 to 22 of July so a last minute decision to pop along!

Yes, I'm def. going, as it's only a mile away from my house I'll probably pop down on all the days at some point! I'd love to meet up with people for coffee (or Pimms 20061010 :D ) in fact anyone wanting a breather and a (free!) cup of coffee is very welcome to call in at my house!

I did wonder if you were exhibiting! I am hoping to catch up with a couple of the companies I met at the last event, would be nice to be able to get that project up and running but think it may have to be next year now.

I was surprised at how much quieter it seemed to other years, although the car park was much busier. We have gone for the past 3 years and seen businesses with their stands in the same place each year but quite a few weren't there this time.

Hopefully it will just be Sunday working but on the motorway in Leeds centre (for anyone going that way) there was roadworks causing severe delays. Luckily we got there before any hold ups but when we were coming back we passed the traffic queue which stretched for miles.

were there many new ones? i am still debating if i should go or not as its going to be a real juggle with childcare this week and i am still suffering from a prolonged migraine so dont know if i could cope with traffic jams too !

Your suppliers would be different to what I was looking for, so I cannot answer that Ketty. If I am honest, I was really disappointed as there were far less of what I was after and I didn't come home with any new suppliers. I said to DH that I probably wouldn't go again next year. For us, the Spring Fair is the best one to attend.

We went today, haven't been to this one before so can't comment on how it compares to previous years, but with it only being half an hour away thought it would be fun to go. Parking was tricky but we had a good look round and found quite a few interesting suppliers.

There were some protesters outside handing out leaflets which could explain why some companies weren't there this time round. I was still impressed - if anyone wants to ask about exhibitors I am happy to go through the guide for them.
