I really hope one of you lovely wah's can help me.

On your keypad there is a key to the left of the No. 1 key. It contains ` and ¬ plus a straight vertical line next to the `.

How do I use that symbol?? I have tried allsorts shift, function key but I give in 20061008

Please put me out of my misery (I have Toshiba Satellite)

Hi,
Hold down Alt Gr and press that button and it should work. Had to ask my husband as I didn't have a clue either!

Look - ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ it works!

Feel like I'm missing out now because my keyboard doesn't have that key, or the Alt Gr one.

€ Thank you soooo much - I've wanted to know how to do a euro symbol and could never work it out so thought I'd try Alt Gr and it worked! €€€€

How weird, the key next to my up arrow key has the symbol for the split upright line which you started the thread with but makes the line that is on that key instead, wonder if they muddled them up somehow?

It's a broken line on my key - I have an unbroken line on the key next to Z on my keyboard. Oh and Ketty just likes to call my husband Brian for some strange reason

On my computer I can get a whole range of symbols with different key combinations, in fact I even drew up a chart to help me remember them.

However I have since discovered that you poor microsft windows users (I use linux) probably can't use them.

It might just be the one windows PC I tried it on however, so in case it's useful I have supplied a link to the on-line version of the chart which I uploaded.

http://www.templedene.net/downloads/linux_keyboard_map.pdf

I can get ½ ¾ ¼ ⅜ ⅝ © ® ™ and all sorts else without having to use anything apart from the keyboard.
