I am thinking of putting sponsors banners up to fund it but I would need to find a widget to do it first.

thoughts anyone? and how much to charge? I want to keep it very cheap so that lots of smaller people can afford it.

I have sponsor banners on my site Better Days Out. TBH I don't do the hard sell, ppl just come to me. Partly because I'm not a sales person (really suck at selling!!) and partly because I don't have time to sell ad space. I added it to Better Days Out about 3 years ago and it's proved to be a really good thing. I have very good stats and am ranked on the first page of google - i think this is what ppl want otherwise they won't think it's worth paying money for it. I also design their banners for free so it's really easy for them to get set up. Also, your ads should be relevant to your own business/company.

I really should work harder at getting more sponsors and would love to have someone do the PR and sales part of the website (anyone interested???!!!:cheesy:) but so far it's just been me and time just runs out on me.

Sorry, waffling on, basically you could give it a try by offering a free banner ad space for 1 month or something and see if ppl are interested and go from there. Hope that helps.
