............. you are further behind on your accounts than me.

I need to sort out all last years accounts as I still haven't sent off the yearly letter for the CTC. The deadline is the end of the month but I really need to get them done before my Childminding pre-reg meeting next Thursday as I'll have lots more things to organise after that.

I've sorted all my receipts and done the first couple of months but haven't done a thing most months!!!!!! I really do need to get more organised.

All i can say is that no matter how busy you are you still post your parcels ultra fast. If you are that good with your accounts im sure you will have no probs getting it done.

I am usually the one cursing the online Vat or Tax sites at 10 mins to midnight cos they won't let me type fast enough. I have had to catch a taxi down to the tax office at 4.45 on the last day too.

Perhaps you could break it down and do a month a night?

Hi Chell,

I'd do what Arabella suggested and tackle it a month at a time. I know when I have a set of accounts for a client, breaking it down into monthly piles makes it soo much easier for me to deal with if it's a lot of papers that they send.

You'll get there hun.

Chell, don't forget that if you can't get your accounts done before the CTC deadline (Jul 31st) you can phone them up with estimate figures and then give then definite figures before Jan 31st 2010.

No, you are not the worst. My accountant is waiting for my figures to start preparing my company accounts and I haven't started to sort out the mess of the last few months. Maybe we should help each other get them done?

I still need to sort out last years accounts too ready for CTC :(

Must get it sorted soon - much of the data I need is in the spreadsheet already luckily!

Also need DH to do his as we are both self employed by the biz now, oh and we have to declare our T'ai Chi stuff too! Thats usually a loss as we can offset the training courses and mileage against any income from the classes (which isnt a huge amount as we dont do them for profit). It just is a bit of a PITA!

I've got last quarters to do yet, haven't declared to CTC either although their renewal pack was lost in the post  Have my VAT return to sort for quarter ending June, have our end of year accounts to get sorted for the Accountant to give to him asap, and I'm in a CBA mood - not good!!
