Hi all,
Urgh we are having a tax headache at the moment, we need to be registered for VAT and Im trying to organise the site ready for it, but we are having problems because most of the items we sell are 0% rated. This in itself isnt the issue, but the problem comes where the delivery charges are applied. VAT would obviously be added to the postage charge where items in the basket (or even just one of the items) has a standard VAT rate, but where all items in the basket at 0% rated, no VAT should be added the the delivery fee. But the system doesnt work like that, it adds it to the postage fee regardless of the contents of the cart.
Im told that this incorrect calculation would be a pretty common error across most ecommerce packages, and I wondered if anyone else has encountered a similar issue- if so, did you find a way around it?
