yesterday was awful here with freak weather.we were left in total darkness in teh shop, as were the rest of the town centre, as we had a power cut due to the thunder storms.several buildings were actually hit by lightning and at one point we really thougt we were going to be flooded out also as what looked like a mini river swept past he shop.Never seen anything like it! The post office, whic is opposite was struck by lightning also.few shops were flooded and we all had tro close early.spent all day catching up and tomorrow have to go through every transaction with streamline form yesterday as it doesn't look like they captured anything due to the power cuts etc.

omg what a nightmare, glad you weren't struck, that would have been horrendous.
I went to pick the kids up from school yesterday in glorious sunshine and then the heavens opened and I mean opened - all I can say is thank god I was wearing a black tshirt and had changed out of the white one I was wearing earlier in the day!
Strange thing was that the sky didn't turn dark or anything, in fact the sky was still bright and blue throughout. It was the most bizarre thing.
The storm was totally my fault, I straightened my hair before I went on the school run using my new GHDs and put make up on and a clean tshirt lol!!!
Later when we got home (about 4 miles away) there hadn't even been a spot or rain but there was a bad thunderstorm later in the early evening.
The weather is just bizarre!

Stamps feet I want a thunderstorm - though probably not as bad as Blush's
Looking outside I can see pinky sky - so probably another hot day tomorrow

you really really don't want a storm like we had yesterday rainbow witch!
It was quite scary actually. My oldest two were at home and ringing me as they could see lightning hit the fromt garden only just missed the house.Banks, pubs, shops all of them had to close. Luckily we ar ein a side street so the rain wasn't itting our windows as such we were sort of sheltered and also luckily th epost office opposite with all its masts etc attracted the lightning and not ou building:cheesy:
Pleased to say today was complete opposite and a scorcher:D
