View Full Version : Have I botched up my site?? HELP!!!

I have been doing some work on my site recently, changing (hopefully improving) content and adding some more anchor links etc.

After the changes I checked my analytics and my visitors are now virtually none existent!!!! OMG! What have I done? I googled my site on lots of my keywords and I do appear within first couple of pages for most.

After two years I was just starting to get a regular stream of orders so really why didn't I just leave it alone? :hissyfit:

I really don't know what I have done - I suspect that maybe I have deleted some header tag or title tag??? But really don't know - I am a bit clueless with those things. I did read something about header and title tags but when I tried to add those I ended up deleting some of my content altogether shrugshoulders111

Anybody any clues??? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

it loaded fro me but without knowing whihc keywrods you are aiming at hard to tell, althiough think I can guess,You may have too many of the same keyword perhaps?

I tried to view it and it's trying to load up but just hanging I'm afraid.

there may lie your problem then if it isn't loading up for everyone.have you tested it in ie explorer, safari etc

I got it up ok, and looked at your page source for your home page but can't see your analytics tracking code? It should be at the bottom of the front page I believe. This may be why you aren't getting any results on analytics.

Hi

Had a quick look at your source code and first thing that jumped out was that your analytics code is messed up. I would probably get the code again from google.

Also i wouldn't dump a pile of keywords at the bottom Google wont like it very much and it is not great way of upping your rating.

Without knowing what keywords you are aiming at it is a little difficult to judge.

Well its really strange because I tend to always IE and it is fine in that. Just tried Firefox and its okay in that too?

How are your new businesses going? I noticed on another forum you had set these up. You must be sooooooooooooo busy what with Arabella as well! How do you fit it all in? I am trying to set up a new website at the moment selling baby gifts but I just don't seem to have time to spend on it.

(p.s. Have you heard my pops is visiting the States again?)
