View Full Version : does it mean it will sell
I've got one item with 4 people watching it and just over 2 hrs left and wondering if its going to sell, had items with people watching before and not selling and so far things have only sold if people have bid on them beforehand and not in the last mins, TBH i think i may of underpriced the item and worried that I am not going to get much for it but hey thats the chances you take i suppose

You might get somebody bidding on your item last minute if you've got watchers on it. I have sold items before with a few watchers and no bids and then loads of bids in last hour.
Good luck with your item, hope it sells for a decent price!

My dh had 11 watchers once and we did not get a sale, sometimes wonder if its other people selling similar and keeping an eye on what your item sold for.

Cannot believe it did not sell with the starting price you have. The only thing I would suggest is to put a bit of blurb beforehand ie are you having a party, dont have time to trail around the shops, why not buy the party box and have everything delivered to your door.
That is the kind of blurb I put on the party bags. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9500659270&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 seems to work.
Its 10p listing day tomorrow, so relist it tomorrow with the extra text.
Thanks Kerrie will try that and don't worry not trying to steal your market its just something I had lying around and wasn't going to use it, just added the sweets and biscuits to make it more complete
thank goodness my other item is doing well !

I think the price is great ! The trouble is ebay has become sooo competative, sometimes even a great bargain isn't snapped up straight away. Good for buyers not so good for sellers x

no offence but is that how much the postage would cost?..just wondering xcos i have never sold anything on ebay but i have bought a xcouple of kids videos and on the first they charged me £1.50pp. but it only cost them 79p. so i never buy any videos with pp of more than £1. (or is this a awy to make up costs if item sells cheap (dunno, just wandering) xxx  xxx

Depends on how you look at it whassat - ebay charge you for listing your item even if it doesn't sell ! and if it does sell you get charged another fee at a percentage. The p&p is for postage costs, postage materials and getting it to the post office ! People that sell second hand clothes quite often add a little to the p&p for their time and trouble in washing and ironing them before selling. I think, as long as the p&p is not unreasonable, this is fair enough. Hope that helps x

speaking of postage... I once sold some nappies and thought they'd be really cheap to post (I was wrong and ended up being out of pocket) so started being wary. Sold something the other day charged £3 for postage and it only cost 46p oops he didn't seem to mind but I just never know what to put down really
it was me that commented on the p&p for the tesco vouchers , 1.99 is far too much for a envolope and a first class stamp
I went on the weight of what i was selling and from what i have sent before £4 is a good P&P for the item not trying to get extra money that way,
