I think you should hassle ebay again hun. They should have pulled out the ad a long time before the auction ended and also emailed you. Hope it gets sorted x

I think you can contact paypal and they suspended the persons account until the matter is sorted. Dont really know how you do this but there is a section where you can contact them, so try that route.

Hope you get sorted.

If you paid through paypal you have to open a dispute with paypal and do it asap. Log into your paypal account look up the payment details and follow the instructions from there.

Hi,
do the paypal thing and also on paypal go here https://www.paypal.com/ewf/f=complaint_eucomplaint&return_page=ppel_qa_pair

and say you want them to reverse the money now as you belive and ebay (ther partner in this transaction who has frozen thier account) belive a fraud is in progress.

See if you can still get the persons email address from either paypal or ebay. Send them a note, if you can get thier phone number that often works a treat. Explain your coming around for a refund....

Also phone your credit card company - they will say paypal is a processing centre. But ask them to suspend the interest on the transaction until its rsolved as you belive fraud has been comitted. They used to have to do that. Often they will get upset becuase they can make any money out of you and will chase paypal too.

I had it before, checked the guys address on google found he was renting out his house and moving abroad. Wrote to ebay/paypal and explained that as they now knew he was going abroad and his contact details were incorrect they must reverse out the money or they would be party to the fraud. After a weeks worth of canned messages they did it. I found out later, if I had faxed the info to them (legally binding) and also my credit card company it may have happened quicker. But bottom line was I could have then gone to the small claims courts...

If the product is cover by the buyer protection under ebay use that too, but only if is a lot of money as it used to limit you to only a few transactions a year.

Rob.
