I'm listing all my income and outgoings for my accountant and have a quick question.
If I have an invoice dated 30th March, and it is paid on 15th April - do I enter it on the invoice date or the actual payment date?
TIA

are you working on a cash basis ? if so, then this item should be listed as a creditor (i.e. outstanding bill you have to pay)

I have no idea :cheesy:
I think you mean I enter them on the invoice date? Then if the payment has come out, then it'll balance out, but if not, it's outstanding?
I'm tempted to just bung everything in a carrier bag and shove it in his lap :hysterica.

It depends what your accountant is charging you for.
TBH if you are doing that balancing for him then he won't have a lot to do so why not bung in a carrier bag and let him explain everything once he's done it? then if you understand it and happy to do it next time ask him if his bill will be any less if you do it. If it isn't let him keep doing it all!
