Is anybody happy to give me their opinion - good or bad but honest on a new backdrop for photos on my website?

I don't know if I am allowed to post the link to the page where the photos are for you to look at otherwise if you can help me please email me info@babiesbloomers.co.uk

Thanks

Dawn :-)

Thanks Toni, here is the link http://www.babiesbloomers.co.uk/test.html

By the way, I know the nappies look like they are floating and not actually photographed on grass but would just like to know if you think this looks ok/awful/good/better/worse etc than before (blue)

Are you choosing between the backgrounds dawn, is that what you mean? I like the colour text you have on there, stands out much better

I think they both look good but I think the ones on the blue background look the best.

what a lovely site, i was there had been something like this around when my little man was a baby. he is a bit past this stage now. I love the blue background looks really professional as the grass one looks a little bit like your nappies are floating over a field or is that what you meant? sorry hope you dont think me rude.

Hi Helly

Not at all :)

What I really want to know even from those who have already posted is this...

What I would really like to know even from those who have already posted is this... bearing in mind the whole ethos of my site do I go with professional/dull background (blue) or amateurish/earthly background (grass)?

Is it more important to look professional even though they are only photos or more important to get the "theme" right? Now let's see what you all have to say

Dawn

I personally think the blue looks better because it shows of your product better. With the green grass your eyes are drawn to the background before the product and tbh I dont think the blue looks dull at all I think its a nice background for them because the product colour is light and they complement each other well.

Hi Dawn,

I like the grass personally, especially if you can get them so they look as if they were taken on the grass rather than floating above.

Yes & No :D

I think I will go with the grass BUT is there anyway/anyone who knows how I could do this quicker than it is taking me at the moment using photoshop I have to wave my magic wand which is all over the place, use the rubber etc etc and cut it and paste onto the grass. Also would like it to maybe blend a bit better... I don't know

Dawn (sleepy now so going to bed to dream about grass!)

thanks all :)

Hi Dawn

Not an expert in photo shop, but are you using layers? it might help.
also, what background do you shoot the photos on / do they come with? if it is nice and plain hen you could use your wand (sorry - i'm giggling - I have a vision of you sittig at you PC dressed as a fairy  ) to select the backgroud and cut that or invert to select the nappy.

If you want to send me an 'original' - ie before you have worked your magic - I could have a look and see what I would do.

Hi Lisa

Yes, using layers. The problem is that they were taken on the blue background and now I am trying to cut them out and paste them onto the grass which is why they look like they are floating. I will send you one if you are happy to look at it for me but it may be just too much faffing.

Thanks
