We've not had a thread like this for a while. How are you all doing?

There seems to have been quite a few new members in the WAH section in the past week or two so come and join in if you are lurking.

For months since I had DD2 I've been doing very little except ordering stock and despatching orders but am now trying to get back into things and promote the site again. :happy72: I've been looking into new products and trying to decide where to go with the site.

DD2 has her test tomorrow for Cystic Fibrosis, it should have been two weeks ago but we were snowed in. It will be another week before we have a result.

How is everyone else?

I must have missed that post Chell, hope all goes well, I hope she is ok.

I'm here but have been busy. Had something major going on with one of my children last week but thankfully it turned out to be a storm in a tea cup, I feel very blessed and very lucky that this is the second time we have come through major trauma with him.

Work wise, I'm massively behind with everything, coming out of last week and in to this week where we have had the twins birthdays and half term, not a great combination. I'm really behind with my inbox.

I have however got a brand new 5teel (http://www.5teel.co.uk)site, which I'm thrilled and delighted about, will be launching that properly over the next few days once I've added yet more stock to it. The site has been a long time in the making but I'm really pleased with the results.

For now though I'd better head to bed before I fall flat on my face, night all!

I'm meant to be having an early night as I have an interview for business training scheme tomorrow - I wrote the presentation today and feel more focussed in my direction, it's like a micro business plan!

But I'm not working tonight...I've taken a night off from learning Zen Cart to window shop for stock!

I am still here! booked the main fairs and events for the year and have been a little picky about the ones i am doing (keeping down cost and travel) i say it every year that i wont do loads but always do!
Business is very steady gd12 and continually growing which i am very pleased about. I am getting into the focusing mood too about the business as this year i dont have my employment to fall back on.I have some new lines coming in which i am very excited about and have lots of ideas too.

well im new to business ( well this one anyway ) and im just getting started , im getting there i have one set of samples now and i shall be contacting the suppliers for stock images today so i can get on with my website asap , im now working on logos and headers etc. I need to get some leaflets designed and printed and back to me before the 1st as i have a wedding fair then where im working and can hand them out.

on top of no sleep because of my 5mth old im knackerd !! :laugh: but still going strong!

Its been hard this week to work with the boys being home...I feel guilty sitting at the PC when I feel I should be spending time with them. So I've done little this week!

The new site is still undergoing creation though! and the shopping blog too.

On top of everything though, I've now got man flu...arghhh!

Well Little Snuggler is as dead as a Dodo at the moment. Can't complain cos I've had a very busy winter. I think I'll have a quiet time before I start getting orders for summer buggy liners then it will all kick off again. Gives me chance to update my website and do a few other things too.

I'm slowly getting into a pattern workwise for when Eithne is at nursery and I'm accomplishing a lot. I'm way less stressed that's for sure. :D

I'm busyish - but not too over loaded atm.

Delicate Dreams - I'm currently trying to figure out how to fund purchases of new stock from some new suppliers - hopefully I'll figure that all out over the weekend.

I'm around and about on the forums but not posting much atm as I'm trying to focus on work as much as possible so I can spend time with my very mischevious daughter who keeps me in stitches. LOL

I'm just about to launch our website - I've been working on it for about a year now and it's totally transformed itself in that time.

It's not been easy with 3 small children, a house move, and no broadband (for a while!) but we're getting there.

I've just rented a new office which is a bit scary but should help as it was all getting a bit much at home. We're going to be running cake decorating courses from there (just the basics for busy mums!). I started to move in last weekend and should get my stock in next week. Then it's just a matter of uploading the rest of the products and then letting it go live. I'm excited and scared in equal measures!!

We also do the big fairs so have them to prepare for too!!!

Hope the hospital appointment went well!! :)

I'm always here :cheesy:. It's been so quiet on the orders front this week, which I am putting down to it being half term. I've had a big flurry of orders today though, all wanted before the weekend......typical!

The site is doing well, the new products are selling well, and I'm busy plugging away at optimising the site - which means rewriting most of the product and category descriptions......"yawn".

Hopefully very soon my new website will be ready for launching which has taken a bit of a back seat recently due to one thing or another. Its an exciting venture though and I can't wait for it to launch.

Im making the most of being at my parents, Ive installed two big updates onto the site our new support system and some cool new sold items features.
Ive also got a couple of sites to design for one of my dads clients which has given me a nice little boost this week :)

Quiet here following a busy Valentines and some nightmares with delivery companies (RM and a courier). All orders are delivered though, have a few items to send on to my trade customer but apart from that all quiet.
Been trying to sort out my bt tradespace today as I had the old business name on it so that is getting done, and I have big plans but no funds for my new venture, so that will have to wait till things pick up a bit. I also need to work on the site a bit with SEO but I find it dull and I am really behind with my paperwork with accounts due in June so better get my finger out on that one.

Are you aiming it at the 'Party Cake' market? If so I think that'll go down well, I used to get asked loads to do cakes eg My Little Pony, Postman Pat etc. for my friends children years ago, and all the other kids mums used to hint could I make one for them too they wouldn't know here to start! Funnily enough I've not been allowed to make one for DD as FIL buys one from a lady who does them

Hope everything went ok Chell. I've been mad busy this week trying to keep my kids occupied and also keep on top of work stuff as my site's been really busy recently which is great but tricky during half-term. We're having a lazy day at home today doing craft stuff and clearing up a bit. My eldest daughter's got a swimming gala tomorrow plus a training session this evening so I'm carb-loading her today - she's built like a whippet, don't know where she puts it all!

Sorry to hear you have worries like that Chell. Thinking of you. I grew up with a girl with CF; she's currently on my Facebook list, a 34 year old head of department in a school :)

We're doing well; busy, have taken on more space so up to about 1600 sq ft now, DH enjoying it but i'm finding it harder. Have been offered an interesting opportunity though which i am trying out in March.

Have taken on a new part timer who we hope to make full time soon so family life is almost back on us. Given that we're in the middle of a 4 site relaunch (groan) and have about 400 new products on the way, i'm still just a tad busy though!!!!!
