Did anyone see his interview on BBC Breakfast this morning? He was talking about his wife, Bonnie, and how she has been living with dementia for the last 2 years. It was absolutely heartbreaking:

dementia is a horrible thing to live with, I have to do annual health checks on our dementia patients and speaking to the carers is very sad, what they have to cope with.
I read a book 'how to talk to a widower' and the main characters mother describes her relationship with his father and how her son can deal with the grief and try to move on, but she grieves every night when she gets a snippet of her husband and wakens up to a stranger every morning.
