Cannot believe some people on e-bay.

Last week I had a lady who first of all did not send payment until I sent a non paying bidder notice. She then sent me a cheque made payable to my user name. So I contacted her and said that maybe she should send another but she replied saying well I want them for next week when can you send them. Ermm, if she had paid straight away and correctly she would have got them. So I told her to send a postal order or pay by paypal as the items were all ready to go. So she said she would use paypal. Well she never did, kept saying she was having a problem and that they needed a pin number?!? So in the end the auction was cancelled. She did have the cheek to ask if i could post them so they got there in time whilst she was still waiting to sort paypal out. As though I was going to send £45 worth of items to her before she paid.

Then today, my dh had 2 copies of his software left for sale and the same person did a buy it now on both, then sent an e-mail saying sorry my wife pressed the button by accident. HOW, how do you twice do a buy it now for a product you do not want. So have had to contact e-bay about this.

Is it me or are there some really thick and annoying people on e-bay at the moment.

Sorry that turned into a long rant didnt it, but ohhh I am so annoyed.

Aww grrr! I bet it was his wife trying to be annoying because you wouldn't send her the items! Who on earth writes a cheque out to an ebay username? Lol I've never owned a cheque book yet I know how to write one out :) As long as you told ebay that's fine. Will you have to pay for the selling fees even though someones 'wife pressed the button by mistake'? Hope it gets sorted hun x

oops.. just read it again and realised I got a bit confused :) haven't had my wake up tea yet ;) I thought you meant the same user that didn't pay you had also done the buy it now oops!
I think there are some people that are just on there to p*ss people off by doing that - did you check the user's feedback at all? :crossfing its gets sorted hun x

I totally agree. Although I can't remember how bad I was when I first started learning about paypal and ebay.

You could select immediate payment. This way the item does not sell until the payment by paypal has been made.

Only problem then is your loosing non paypal customers.

I saw a site the other day that hates paypal. www.paypalsucks.com or somthing like that

Lol that site's funny :) I used to like paypal until they charged me for receiving money (but then I suppose they have to make theirs...)

Luckly e-bay gives you your final value fee back if you contact them. What annoyed me on both these was that the first lady took most of the stock listed so no one else bought any as it only showed a couple left.

The second women took both of dhs software which ended his listing, and there is no way to re-start the listing even though it was ended early due to someone pressing the buy it now button by accident.
