Another interview

for dp today. (Hygiene and safety Manager for a large Food manufacturing Factory..based at one of their sites)

He's not heard a yes or no back from Rentokil yet as the Branch Manager is off due to his young dd having a strain of meningitis.

But the job he is having an interview today is based in Spalding...but they want to interview him at a large golfy hotel just down the road from us....and it's an Agency interviewing him. Money is very good...but we shall see..they seem to want someone who can start yesterday...but i think he's rather unsure...with it being an Agency and not the company itself.

So he's just having a bath now..then i will be able to indulge in the web on my day off as dd is spending the afternoon at her Nanna's.

Well fingers crossed as we would be looking at moving nearer there as we are 20 miles approx the other side of Lincoln at the mo.

Good luck - a lot of jobs are with agencies now - infact its amazing to find one round here advertised direct. they are obliged by law now to provide holdiay pay etc but if he gets it check its not part of the hourly rate

Hi Ladies,

Well the 'interview' turned out to be nothing other than an informal chat. He got to the hotel and the interviewer had changed but they hadn't informed him..knobbies! She was rather stuck up and didnt seem to like the fact that dp has ran several contracts where she 'apparently' used to work and was saying 'oh they don;t have this or this though do they so that is not relevant'..when they had GRRRRR! Don't thin she liked anyone knowing more then her about anything! pmsl

However Rentokil called him yesterday and the bracnh mnager is still away due to his dd having meningitis and still being in hossie until tis weekend,so he has no answer about that.

Another company in Bolton rang him up and asked him to hold on for an interview as their recruitment manager has left and they cannot recruit until that is sorted....

And two other people have called him with potential interviews..so fingers crossed!

Rentokil is the lowest paid but has other benefits! IE 9-5..most of the time,can do it stood on his head, worked for them for years, company car..blah blah blah!

It's just all taking such a long time!

The road is long...but i'm sure the outcome wil be great!

He's also arranging an interview for a job based in Cambridgeshire too! VERY GOOD MONEY! but moving a tad further!

he's finalising the details for Rentokil..less money than the others...but better prospects all round and not too far a move!

Just need to get looking for a place to rent now...crikes!! xxxxx
