Yes i'm doing it.My auntie was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago and had the lump removed last week,so its very close to home.
Never done anything like this before so i'm a little nervous.Probably wont manage to run all the way, it will most likely be a mixture of running and walking unless i train extra hard at the gym. It's only 5k though, so not too bad.

Well i cant believe it's today!!!!
I was hoping the sun would be out with a gentle breeze but it looks like it's going to rain.
I'm really looking forward to it but kind of sad too.My auntie who i'm doing it in honour of was admitted to hospital on thursday. She's very jaundiced and bleeding internally so i'm hoping and praying it hasnt spread.
I'll let you know how i get on later if my legs can make it to the computer table.:hysterica

Good luck weaselgirl - have a good time!
I did one years ago and like most people think I should do it again. My mum has had two ops and treatment for breast cancer now, so it is a very good cause.
Hope your auntie is coping with the treatment.

Luckily the weather stayed fine.It was sunny but with a strong breeze so quite good conditions really. There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone was really friendly.Unfortunately we didnt end up doing much running.Claires mum hurt her leg so she hobbled inbetween the two of us holding her up.We did it though thats the main thing.I will definetely be doing it again next year.

Congratulations on doing the race. I always think I'll do it, then feel like death and think it'd probably kill me. Maybe next year?
