Love Terry Pratchett, but haven't read any for a while.
We also have a few David Gemmell on the bookshelf, but I haven't read them (yet).

My dh likes the Thomas Covenant too!
Raising an old thread here I know, but it was started before I joined.
Stephen donaldson's Chronicles of Thomas covenant the Unbeliever are fantastic, the only books I've ever read where I've wanted to grab the lead character by the shoulders and shake him for being so bloody stuborn.
He's now writing another Thomas Covenant trilogy and I'm waiting eagerly for book 2.

I absolutely love fantasy books. My current favourites are Tad Williams, Robert Jordan and George R R Martin. The only downside is coming to the end of series and waiting for the next book to come out - in that situation with all 3 of the above authors!! I've got a Robin Hobb book to read next - recommended by the nice man in Watestones - so hopefully that will keep me going until the next ones get published!
