but i HAVE TO pull a sicky with work today!

As most of you know about opur current financial predicaments i only have around £15 to last us until Tuesday when family alowance is due. £12 of this should be my taxi fare home tonight.... hence me not being able to get in (dss have messed up dp's giro for last week) and work took a weeks wage from my first pay to keep until i leave.....arrgghhhh

Our oil tank has ran out so we have no heating, i've only £1.60 on the electric meter we had to have installed and we need a bit of petrol so i can get to work and back tomorrow.

Plus we need some essential food to keep us going as the cupbaords are so, so bare!

I feel awful have never done this before..but if they hadn't of kept my first weeks wage...i wouldn't have to do this! 20061008 20061008

Yep wokkies, we only have the 1.65 of that left! Hence me needing elctric tokens!

I know it will get better...roll on dp getting some job offers soon! Then we will be on the up, up, up!

I just had to be honest and let it out.... money has been awful since Sept..got really bad in Dec and Jan..and now is even worse! Borrowed money off family to the hilt.....and they are getting peed off with us now! It's not dp's fault bless him and he really is trying! He applies for every job he can do ..be it 5oo miles down the raod...btu we can't afford for him to get to the interviews either...vicious circles!

Oh well..........POSITIVE OUTLOOK HAVE I

But i feel so awful!

Not sure what to say either..as i should start at 2.30pm..... so think i may have to call in about an hour or so and say i have to rush dd to a and e as her arm has come out the socket or something similar.

Really shouldn't use her i know....but i cannot phone and say i'm ill as i should be at work very early tomorrow morning! And cannot afford to lose wages.

God i feel blummin awful!

I still haven't gotten use to this no money thing! And having to rely on what comes in on what day.

Not that we were flush with money beforehand, but were comfortable in the sense i could nip out for lunch and a drink with dp at the weekend...ddin't have to worry about petrol etc...crikes.

will they give you a sub on your wages as they havent paid u anything yet, my dh had that prob once, are they understanding enough to realise that if you have no money you cant get to work or are they not?

Wokkies, they did pay me! 4 days out of the 9 they owed me!

But they apparently keep one week 'in hand' until you leave (even though i am salaried a month in arrears).....i had this out with them and they just said it is 'their policy'.
Incase i leave without giving the required notice!

They really couldn;t give a shite about their employees....hence me leaving once dp accepts any positions offered!

Nope...no-one lives near me at all!

Sicky it will have to be! No other option!

I feel so awful but i really cannot do much else!

DD comes home from my parents tonioght and we need electric for the heater for her room etc! And milk and coal for the fire.

Cheers Ladies xxxxx

Tell your job that you are feeling really unwell and can barely keep your eyes open, as you could sleet this night, but you will spend today resting and should be all better tomoz morning.

:grouphug: Like you say it seems like you have no option, if they hadn;t kept your money back then you ma=ight have been able to get to work......so their fault anyway :bottomrev to them. Hope your dp finds something soon and you can tell them were to go.
