Me being nosey again.

Just wondered how many people had tattoos and what they were. If you dont would you have one and what would it be.

Or do you hate them (i will not be offended if you do) I like them but only on certain areas of the body.

I have two a butterfly on my left shoulder and a butterfly on a line of leaves at the bottom of my back. Had the back done last year and the shoulder the year before. Would like a tinkerbell next on my other shoulder.

I was 32 and 33 when I had these done, I am doing my teenage years now lol.

I dont, Im too much of a wimp and I have a needle phobia which is a shame as I would have loved a small one at the base of my back.

oh gosh, i made a huge dicision at 16 and went and had a black widdow on my boob, i know i was underage but i was a real rebel then, my bf at the time paid for it as a birthday pressie, and she got on in the same place she got a unicorn,

i remeber the shock of tlling my parents, and my dad just said "could have got something more lady like" pmsl, i though they were going to kill me,

with my grandmother being indian "inking" is a very traditional thing, all my uncles have them done, so i used that as my excuse, as my grandmother was 14 when she had hers done,

kerri you live your teen years, having kust left mine behind (i'm 24), i miss them,""cutey""b ""cutey""b

This is the reason I'm so against them. My cousins husband did the same thing and has spent thousands of pounds on painful laser treatment to get rid of them.
Did you notice that Jo from just the two of us has worn something on the top of her left arm everytime she has sung to hide her tattoo?
I think very rarely one looks nice but to be honest I always think they make the wearer look common.
My sister has two but neither can be seen, I tried to persuade her not to have them but she always wanted one and then went and had the name of a partner on one of them which she later had to have altered when they fell out!

I thought that Jo covered her arm as a tribute to Dog the Bounty Hunter :hysterica I am a wimp and would be more scared of the needle than anything. So people have really beautiful tattoos and I always think that they look manly on men {IKYWIM} but they worry me because what would they look like on old people? Just me I suppose every one to their own.......:costumed-

Three local sisters did a skydive to raise money for our fund. Can you imagine how their parents must have felt having 3 of their 4 daughters jumping out of a plane!! Sorry slight hijack there :)

When my sister split from her husband she got her nose pierced (only a tiny stud) and a tattoo although its only a small one on her shoulder. I like the little ones, dont like the big ones.

My friend has a frog sticking its tongue out on her shoulder, when we asked why she choose it she said "when I'm old and in a nursing home and they have to bath me it will give them something to laugh at" ?!?

I would never have one on my arms, legs or feet as I think they look common. I like the fact that I can cover mine up if I want to, no one has to know they are there.

god, I can still remember the 1 I always did want, does any1 remember in Grange Hill, about 20yrs ago round about the time of the 'just say no' campaign, 1 of the girls then was going 2 have 1 done, a little heart on her shoulder...thats wot i would have wanted.....but dh sooo regrets his, I never bothered! Also I also used 2 be rather needle-phobic!

even though i was a rebel, i always see my tattoo as a tribute to my nan, as no other grand child has one, (any exscuse) i don't always feel that tats make someone look common, i think they can be a beautiful thing, bob is planning where to have the kids names on his back, and my lil bro is designing a special on for elizabeth, for bobs back, i wanted to do the same, but then i'd have to have jacob and jessica and decided to leave it to dad lol, i think when they are all over your body and just weird ones like snakes, and skuls on women then yes that a bit common, but a butterfly, or something pretty then no, i had my tat of my black widdow because that what i was called at school, (i didn;t do boyfriends) if i'm out on the town, then she's out with me, but if i'm with family i'm always covered up,

bob has the solar system on his right arm at the top, and i love it to bits,i love following the line with my fingers,

but like raven said each to their own, i would probably kill my 2 if they had one lol:D

I had a small rose done on my right shoulder when i was 29,(thought i would have it done before I hit 30).
I do like them, but think lots all over the body (esp the face looks awful)

I am hoping to get one on the base of my back... this is the design i am liking atm (coloured in black) but then I might change my mind. The stars represent each of my children, so I am waiting til I have another child before I have it done!

I feel its something i'd like to have done, but it will be in a place that can be covered easily as i get older!

I don't have any and i shan't be having any in the future. I'm not agaianst anyone else having them but they're just not for me.

Wundatigga i do like your design, it's a nice way of celebrating all of your children. My friend has a design similar at the base of her back.

Love them! I've got a small one on my left shoulder, it was meant to be temporary but it's still there after about 5 years! It's the chinese symbol for L, my son's initial. I've also got his name on the top of my right arm and a dolphin. And I have a sun with ying and yang in it on the bottom of my back. I love that one but to be honest I'm going off the dolphin. Wish I'd had something else or had it somewhere it doesn't show as much but nevermind!

Also got my nose pierced and belly button.

My bf hates tattoos so doubt I'll be getting any more. cryingsmil LOL

Oh yes they were very proud, but they were terrified when they actually did the jump. I mean imagine if anything had gone wrong and they lost all three of their girls in one go :(
Anyway it was all great and they raised a lot of money :D

I dont like needles much so very much doubt if i will ever get one.DH hasnt got any either but he has designed many of his brothers tatoos and two of my friends and they look great.

Saying that though i cant stand seeing tatoos on old ladies. We had a woman at work once in her 70's and she had a few and they looked awful where the skin was all stretched and wrinkly.2006sorry

I have a Thumper on my left shoulder, I had it done as my mothers day present five years ago just after I had Kieran.

Dh has a few, he has a an eagle and dragon on the top of his arms, these were done when he was 15 so I think he thought they must have been cool then. His others are tribal ones, he has a band on one arm and a symbol on the other. His last one was a tribal dragon which we found online. He also has a Leeds badge on his chest which I prefer to the scorpion that he originally wanted.

I really want to get something done to represent my girls but havent found anything I really love. My OH has his name tattoed in Japanese on his chest, he wants to have another couple done, one for his mum who passed away 3 years ago, & one for the girls. One of my sisters has a rose & butterfly on her shoulder, a chinese symbol on her back & a bouncing Tigger on her thigh which my girls love!! My other sister has a strawberry on her shoulder, I dont know why she picked that, I must ask her.....

No I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I'm either getting old or I must be a snob. I wouldn't ever have a tattoo, I think they look slovenly on women, common and chavvish, (is there such a word lol) I'm also needle phobic which helps me not to want one too lol. I would be mortified if my daughter came home with one that showed even when in a swimming costume. I suppose they are just not my thing. Hope I havn't offended anyone, that is only my opinion, I'm sure there are loads of people out there who love them.

Love Kate
