We had a letter this morning to say he'd got a place at the catholic high school that Katherine attends. I was surprised as we had to be interviewed when we applied for Katherine's to go there, I guess they know us know though :) We also had a letter to say that Katherine had got her place too but as there is only one senior school locally and it's catchment, that wasn't really a surprise ;) Only sad thing is that Katherine will leave as Matthew starts.
What a relief! ***party** :party05:

Yeah it is. Matthew will be almost 12 when he starts as he's the second eldest in his year at the school he's at and Katherine is one of the younger ones (June). Never mind it's just how it goes.

Yes Matthew seems pleased, said something about all his friends not going but like we said he'll soon make new ones, he's quite popular at the school he's at at the moment and his friend over the road is already at the new school so that's one friend already!
Wokkies that's a really really long day and how expensive?? Our coach picks up outside the house (just happens to be the stop) at 8.30 and drops back at 4pm and costs £24 a month which I thought was a lot!

its because its out the area, and even though we are on benefits at the minute we get no help but its worth it to see dd happy, they travel all around picking other kids upaswell, ds goes to the local comp and we had loads of trouble till he stuck up for himself and he is leaving this year anyway

Thanks me too! We are not catholics - we are christians. But it's a really good school and the religious teaching and ethics are far better than in the local school which is very important to us. It's also classed as a private school so they are quite strict on uniform and discipline which is also important.
We'll see how he gets on!
