Awww, Linda she is your mum and I agree no matter how long it is of course you are going to miss her. Don't feel bad about it. You should make this a special day, do something special I am sure your mum would appreciate you doing something for you.

I lost my Mum when I was 18, (I'm 37 now) you never stop missing them.
I do however strongly believe that just because we can’t see them it does not mean that they can’t see us.
I bet your Mum has been with your daughter every step of the way while she has been practicing for her class assembly and will be right there for her on the day.
I too am on msn if you ever want to chat

hunni, she will alwasy be there, right in your heart and thoughts, i thought i lost my mum last year, but i was lucky, but i moved all the way back home, and now live across the road from her, just remember that when you dd does something special, that it was you who taught her, and your mother that taught you, she will always be a part of your life, i'm sure if you sit down and think there are many things you do since your mother has passed, which she used to do herself, and you will be shocked, i agree with jen, i never beleiv anyone has gone, they are just in another room, i'm sure your mum is very proud of you for the was you have helped your dd with her speach problems, your a great girl and we love you xx ""cutey""b

not sure what to say, I think 5 years is such a short time to be without someone like your mum it must be really hard
Take Care
