The lady that hit him was really lovely and very upset, I am thinking about sending her a bunch of flowers just really to say thank you for being a safe driver and not one of the pratts that do 80 through the road he got hit on , do you think that will be ok ?

if (god forbid) i'd hit anyone with my car and they sent me a bunch of flowers i would be unbelievably grateful and think what a special person you are for thinking of such a thing, good people really do exist then. :)

what a day I am so worn out, had almost non stop phone calls mostly from the shop chain that he delivers papers for and also a vist from the area manager but they have offered in a round about way to pay for repairs to his bike , but to be honest i don't think it needs any it looks ok to me but have to wait for OH to look it over , still expecting a vist from the police hoping they are not to late out because i am so tired now

That would be a lovely thing to do, during the summer hols last year a young lad rode straight into my car and flew over my bonnet, luckily I saw him before he hit me so I had time to stop, but I was really shaken up and felt really guilty even though the police said I was not at all to blame.(he was on the wrong side of the road and fooling around)
A phone call from the parents would have made me feel so much better;
I think sending her a message or flowers would be a lovely gesture.
I so glad you son is ok. Both you and him must have been real shaken.
She actually popped round that evening and we had a chat and i told her how grateful i was it was her that hit him and not some idiot driver , she is really lovely and was very concered about him bless
That's lovely and tbh it restores faith in human nature to hear someone NOT wanting to sue the pants off another body when some thing goes wrong.
Glad your lad is ok - that happened to our eldest he had his front teeth knocked out - total accident and I too felt so sorry for the driver
