Just been shopping with the mother in law to get dd some new clothes for her birthday next week, as she knows we don't share the same taste in clothes!! (Understatement!!!)
Anyway, have ended up buying dd, some lovely summery things from Next in a size 6yrs and she'll only be 4 next week!!!! Went to George shop then, and shes in size 5-6 in their too!!

Do you find your kids are way above the sizes of clothes meant for their age group?

My two , well esp DS , were always in clothes several sizes bigger than their age when they were younger. Even now DS who is 11 is in size 13/14 clothes , and DD who is 10 needs 12/13 yrs

Girls clothes are sized smaller than boys my ds is in age 5 clothes (he's nearly 8) and my dd is in 6-7 and she's nearly5.
Last year i bought them both a t-shirt from asda aged 5 and laid one on top of the other and the boys one was much bigger. I feel that this is more likely to cause girls to have eating disorders as they feel big when they're not.

When my ds1 started school she was 4 (almost 5) and her uniform was 7-8 years, she's 13 now and 5 5.5 and size 5.5 feet! My son is 11 and almost 5 feet tall with 5.5 feet. I'm 5 2!
Isobel seems slightly above average too.

My ds is below size-he is 6 1/2 but can still wear age 4-5 clothes but also wears 6-7 but they tend to be really long on him.

DS is 5 but wears clothes 7-8.DD is 2 1/2 and is mostly still wearing aged 2-3 but some of her dresses are age 4 and are way too small.I think it depends where you shop.

jakes 27 months but has a 6-9 month waist, and jessie is 16 months, and in a 6-9 month waist, which is a pain,

Em, in tescos they have special trousers with elastic in them, have you seen them, you can adjust the size, but keep the length, sil got thewm for jake, they're the best thing i have ever seen
