found the bottom of your wash basket? I know I have not, i'm sure its missing and my washing goes down to Australia.

What I cannot understand is if the wash basket is full, why have I still got a pile of ironing and the wardrobes are full to bursting point.

I must have too many clothes or not enough space to put them all.

Theres a bottom to a wash basket?? Are you sure?? Coz Ive never seen one. Ive got a full washing basket, a HUUGGEEE pile of ironing, a couple of piles of clean washing, no room in any wardrobe & I still have NOTHING TO WEAR!!!!

Maybe its an optical illusion? You know, just to make you think theres loads of washing still in there when its really empty! Well thats what Im gonna believe, so now I have no washing to do!! I think my ironing pile might be a similar illusion too...............

I know what you mean, no matter how much ironing you do the pile always seems to get bigger

Its a conspiracy, optical illusion washing baskets & ironing piles, obviously invented by a man, to make us feel like we've got even more to do!!

Ok now to make you all jealous.....

I have seen the bottom of my washing basket about 3/4 times this year....

The secret is too put washing on in relays, and not do anything else, the downside of this is.....

Ironing mountain appears, and we haven't managed to get to the top of that yet

So even if you do get to the bottom of the basket, there is a price to pay....:hysterica

See, we cant win!! Unless we win the lottery & then we can pay someone to do it for us!!

I wash at least two loads a day so why is the wash basket still full?

All three dds are sat in front of my washer at the moment watching it as they have just repaired my teddy bear (he is 32 years old) and put him in the wash for a bath so they are keeping an eye on him to make sure he is ok. :hysterica

I learnt a new trick tho.....
When washing is all done 4 the day, cook T.
When kids r eating T & therefore out of the way, do that days ironing.....therefore (hopefully) avoiding mountain!! :hysterica
Works 4 me anyway!:tcwozerek

(Either that, or doing it when I get in from work after taking the kids 2 skool!:bottomrev )

Hmm, I don't own a basket but I do have one of those erm, what are they called? The plastic type box things that kids usually put toys in for storage. Well anyway, we have one of those by the washing machine and it always has someting in it that I can't put in a whites or dark wash ie something bright red or bright yellow

sanjan

2 more loads of washing and that will be it and they are by the machine ready to do - I have a load in and

:party05: ***party** Yes I know what the bottom of my laundry box looks like as well as Cam's and madams ***party** :party05:

When it comes out if time permits it will go on the line as it seems like a good drying day today (if not it will go over the airers on the radiators as I don't have a tumble dryer)

As for ironing it

how do you turn on an iron?

I only do it when really necessary

kathyhinsh
27-02-2006, 04:58 PM
lol @ u san,
my neighbour doesnt iron either...
I on the other hand HAVE 2, cos I cant bear ANY creases in r clothes...
EVEN if they're MEANT 2 be there!!!!!!

Tinkabell

I iron the clothes as we need them, girls are always emptying all their clothes out trying them on as can never make a decision what to wear, then stuff them back in the drawers. So dont see the point in ironing until they decide what they are wearing.

Do you think if the men were in charge of doing the washing the wash basket would be fuller or empty?

inchtwinkle
27-02-2006, 06:12 PM
neither, they can't ever seem to find the basket and as for the washing machine, i don't think they know that one lol:hysterica :hysterica

dont ask about men been in charge of the washing basket, after dh found about 8 loads of washing in ds's bedroom he said he would do the washing then 2 hours later i asked y he was washing on 90degrees and tumble drying on hot, lol, maybe he will have to buy us all new clothes and not do the washing anymore, lol, he thought i did all the washing at number 1, lol
