bread, white or brown

just wondered what bread you prefer

dh will only eat white, kids will have brown or wholegrain i'll have whatever is going?

Don't like the one with bits in - I make most of ours in a machine and use two thirds white with a cup of brown - tis loberley !!

Thats a good Idea! We haven't used ourbread machine for a while - may have to dig it out and try that.

I usually buy the Hovis Best of Both - so not sure what to put on the poll!

yep, another little used breadmaker here, problem is storing it after it is made?

How do you store yours, plus it's really hard to make sanwiches with

white , ds4 specailist told us to try that best of both so we did and ds4 said i want real bread lol so white it stays

dp like white i like whole meal dd will eat whole meal but like white best so i buy hovis best of both so we are all happy but dp still says it's not as soft as white20061008

I just pop it in a plastic bag to store it but am tempted by the box that Lakeland plastic do - it gets smaller wiht the loaf and has a cutting guide with it.
why do you waste so much and why is it difficult to make sandwiches with ?

I usually have one on the go and one for tomrrow - they cut better the day after baking and have you tried teh packet ones like sundried tomato and parmessan - they are nice too .

We've just changed back to wholemeal bread. Hovis do a really lovely one. I'm amazed because I didn't think Isobel would eat it but she loves it too!

We all have wholemeal,although all like white bread.If i buy a fresh loaf from the bakers it has to be white though, there's nothing like it.:yes:

I ended up giving my breadmaker to my neice as i used it rarely and shes allergic to wheat so thought she could make more use of it , however I used to buy packs of bread mix which is just the right amount for a breadmaker and comes in some lovely flavours

I much prefer brown as does ds, but dh wont touch it and dd HATES it but then she HATES mos things these days. I do think that french sticks and lovely uncut bloomers etc have just got to be white though lol.

Me & dd love Alinson wholemeal, & every1 else only eats white, we do eat white 2!
